TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  745 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHWEST TEXAS
 
   ...KENT COUNTY
 
AT 635 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
POSSIBLE TORNADO OVER NORTHERN KENT COUNTY ABOUT 5 MILES NORTH OF
CLAIREMONT. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

254 PM CDT MON JUN 5 1995

...THUNDERSTORMS INTENSIFYING OVER THE SOUTH PLAINS...

AT 250 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED WIDELY
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH PLAINS.
ONE STORM WAS LOCATED IN SOUTHEASTERN LUBBOCK COUNTY FROM 5 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF LUBBOCK TO 5 MILES NORTH OF SLATON.  OTHER THUNDERSTORMS
WERE DEVELOPING IN SOUTHERN LUBBOCK COUNTY NEAR WOODROW AND IN
SOUTHEASTERN TERRY COUNTY.  A THUNDERSTORM HAD DEVELOPED IN THE
SOUTHERN PANHANDLE SOUTHEAST OF SILVERTON.  THESE STORMS SHOWED
LITTLE MOVEMENT.

CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
ACROSS THE SOUTH PLAINS AND THE LOW ROLLING PLAINS.  STAY TUNED
