TXZ027>043-052100- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX 254 PM CDT MON JUN 5 1995 ...THUNDERSTORMS INTENSIFYING OVER THE SOUTH PLAINS... AT 250 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH PLAINS. ONE STORM WAS LOCATED IN SOUTHEASTERN LUBBOCK COUNTY FROM 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF LUBBOCK TO 5 MILES NORTH OF SLATON. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING IN SOUTHERN LUBBOCK COUNTY NEAR WOODROW AND IN SOUTHEASTERN TERRY COUNTY. A THUNDERSTORM HAD DEVELOPED IN THE SOUTHERN PANHANDLE SOUTHEAST OF SILVERTON. THESE STORMS SHOWED LITTLE MOVEMENT. CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS THE SOUTH PLAINS AND THE LOW ROLLING PLAINS.
