AT 930 AM CDT RADAR SHOWED RAIN AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS SOUTH OF A
LINE FROM LAFAYETTE TO NEW ROADS AND KENTWOOD.  THE PRECIPITATION
EXTENDED ACROSS THE BATON ROUGE METROPOLITAN AREA...HAMMOND AND SLIDELL
TO MORGAN CITY AND NEW ORLEANS.  MOVEMENT WAS EAST NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

PEOPLE IN EAST CENTRAL LOUISIANA CAN EXPECT STRONG AND GUSTY WIND...
HEAVY RAIN WITH FLOODING OF STREETS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS...
