A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM...FOR
SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY EXCLUDING FLOYD AND PIKE COUNTIES.

AT 240 PM...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE 13 MILES NORTHEAST OF
MIDDLESBORO AND NEAR MIDDLESBORO IN SOUTHEAST BELL COUNTY.
ANOTHER AREA STRETCHED FROM 35 MILES WEST TO 35 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF JACKSON...OR ALONG AND WEST OF AN IRVINE TO MANCHESTER LINE.
YET ANOTHER STRONG STORM WAS 25 MILES SOUTHEAST OF HAZARD IN
SOUTHEAST LETCHER COUNTY.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AROUND 40 MPH AND WILL AFFECT
SOUTHEAST BELL...WEST BREATHITT...NORTH CLAY...JACKSON...LEE...
NORTH PERRY...SOUTHEAST LETCHER AND WOLFE COUNTIES THROUGH 345 PM.

THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF SMALL HAIL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS OF OVER 1 INCH PER HOUR.
IF IN THE PATH OF THESE STORM GET INSIDE A SAFE SHELTER AND
AVOID ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND TELEPHONE EXCEPT IN AN
EMERGENCY. ALSO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF RAPIDLY RISING WATER
IS OBSERVED AND NEVER CjROSS ROADS COVERED BY FLOWING WATER.
