000 TTAA00 KSAT 111725 SVRSAT TXC053-299-491-111830- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 1220 PM CDT THU MAY 11 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 130 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...BURNET COUNTY...LLANO COUNTY...WILLIAMSON COUNTY AT 1215 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR KINGSLAND IN EASTERN LLANO COUNTY. MOVEMENT WAS TOWARD THE EAST AT 30 MPH. THIS STORM PRODUCED GOLF-BALL SIZED HAIL DURING THE PAST FEW MINUTES. ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY NEAR THE TOWN OF TAYLOR. MOVEMENT WAS ALSO TOWARD THE EAST AT 30 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES... SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE zCAUGHT OUTSIDE. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN OCCUR WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM.

THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED JUST TO THE WEST OF NEW BRAUNFELS. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR. STRONG GUSTY WINDS...HEAVY RAIN...DANGEROU$S LIGHTNING AND SMALL HAIL ARE LIKELY WITH THIS STORM.
