000 TTAA00 KCHS 261734 FFWCHS GAC251-SCC005-049-262330- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON SC 132 PM EDT SAT AUG 26 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN GEORGIA ...SCREVEN COUNTY IN SOUTH CAROLINA ...ALLENDALE COUNTY...HAMPTON COUNTY AN ORGANIZED BAND OF HEAVY RAINS WAS MOVING INTO THE WARNED AREA AS OF 130 PM. HEAVY RAIN WAS REPORTED IN SCREVEN COUNTY WITH FLOODING BEGINNING ONCE AGAIN. THIS HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO SPREAD INTO ALLENDALE AND HAMPTON COUNTIES. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
