FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  530 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA

AT 326 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED MODERATE TO
HEAVY RAIN WITH A FEW THUNDERSTORMS PERSISTING OVER MOST OF WEBSTER
COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA. DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICAT
 DURING THE PAST FEW HOURS MANY LOCATIONS IN WEBSTER COUNTY HAVE RECEIVED
ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL.  LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES HAVE REPORTED
SOME MINOR FLOODING ALONG STREETS IN PRESTON AND ALONG US HIGHWAY 280
NEAR WESTON.
 
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THROUHGOUT THE MORNING HOURS.  THUS...
RESIDENTS OF WEBSTER COUNTY NEED TO REMAIN ALERT FOR CONTINUING FLASH
FLOOD SITUATIONS.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
