IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ...MEADE COUNTY AT 453 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO 7 MILES WEST OF MEADE MOVING EAST/NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. PERSONS IN MEADE SHOULD TAKE SHELTER. THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR MEADE BY 5 PM. PERSONS IN THE MEADE STATE PART AREA SHOULD ALSO TAKE COVER. IN ADDITION TO THE TORNADO THREAT...DAMAGING HAIL AND HIGH WIND IS LIKELY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A STAIRWELL OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
