THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO HAS EXTENDED THE
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
 
   ...WILSON COUNTY
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
WILSON COUNTY UNTIL 545 PM CDT. RAINFALL TOTALS OF BETWEEN SIX AND
SEVEN INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED ACROSS MUCH OF WILSON COUNTY DURING THE
PAST SIX HOURS AND FLOODING IS EXTENSIVE COUNTY WIDE WITH MANY ROADS
UNDER WATER AT THIS TIME.  LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINS CONTINUE TO FALL
ON SATURATED GROUND ADDING TO EXISTING FLOOD WATERS.
 
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
