HAIL...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE OCCURRING OVER EASTERN KANSAS AND OVER
PARTS OF THE KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA...WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN MISSOURI.

THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN A LINE WITH THE LEADING EDGE EXTENDING
FROM NORTH OF ST. JOSEPH NEAR MARYVILLE MISSOURI...TO LAWRENCE KANSAS
...WITH ANOTHER STORM JUST WEST OF DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY MISSOURI.
PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED OVER PARTS OF OVERLAND PARK
AND KANSAS CITY KANSAS.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR...SO
THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO ALL OF THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA
BY 1100 AM.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM THIS AFTERNOON
FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN AND CENTRAL MISSOURI...

REMAIN ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS...AS SOME OF THE
