...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN KANSAS
...AND PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL MISSOURI UNTIL 300 PM...

AT 840 AM...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME VERY STRONG...WERE IN EAST KANSAS
AND OVER PARTS OF WESTCENTRAL MISSOURI.

THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN EAST KANSAS.

A VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS IN EXTREME NORTHEAST KANSAS...45 MILES WEST
OF ST JOSEPH.  THIS STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR AND
WILL MOVE INTO EXTREME NORTHWEST MISSOURI...TO THE NORTH OF ST JOSEPH...
AROUND 915 AM.  VERY HEAVY RAIN AND SOME SMALL HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THIS
STORM.

OTHER STRONG STORMS WERE JUST NORTH OF EMPORIA...40 MILES SOUTHSOUTHWEST
OF KANSAS CITY...NEAR POALA...AND IN MISSOURI 60 MILES SOUTHEAST
OF KANSAS CITY OR JUST NORTHWEST OF CLINTON.

THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ALL CONTAIN VERY HEAVY RAIN AND COULD HAVE
HAIL.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD REMAIN ALERT AND LISTEN FOR LATER

...AND PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL MISSOURI UNTIL 300 PM...

AT 900 AM...A LINE OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS IN EAST KANSAS...
EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF KANSAS TO TOPEKA TO 30 MILES SOUTH
OF TOPEKA.

THE VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN EXTREME NORTHEAST KANSAS...25 MILES NORTHWEST
OF ST JOSEPH WILL MOVE INTO EXTREME NORTHWEST MISSOURI...NORTH OF ST JOSEPH...
AROUND 9 15 AM...PASSING JUST SOUTH OF MOUND CITY...AND MOVING INTO NORTHERN
ANDREW COUNTY...NORTH OF SAVANNAH...BY 945 AM.  VERY HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY
SOME SMALL HAIL WILL OCCUR WITH THIS STORM.

THE OTHER VERY STRONG STORMS AROUND TOPEKA AND TO THE SOUTH OF TOPEKA WERE
MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL REACH THE WESTERN PART
OF THE KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA BETWEEN 930 AND 1000 AM THIS MORNING.

THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS ALL CONTAIN VERY HEAVY RAIN AND COULD HAVE
HAIL.
