IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...JOHNSON COUNTY...LEAVENWORTH COUNTY...WYANDOTTE COUNTY
 
AT 1000 AM...RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR TONGANOXIE
IN SOUTHERN LEAVONWORTH COUNTY...TO THE SOUTHWEST JOHNSON COUNTY AND
SOUTHEAST DOUGLAS COUNTY LINE...NEAR EDGERTON IN EASTERN KANSAS.  THE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH MOST OF THE WESTERN PART OF THE KANSAS
CITY METROPOLITAN AREA...INCLUDING THE CITIES OF DESOTO...BONNER SPRINGS
...KANSAS CITY KANSAS...OLATHE...AND OVERLAND PARK.  MOVEMENT WAS TO THE
EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.  LARGE HAIL OF QUARTER AND POSSIBLY
UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS.

STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
