SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL  530 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA
 
   ...FILLMORE COUNTY...EASTERN MOWER COUNTY...OLMSTED COUNTY
   ...EASTERN WABASHA COUNTY...WESTERN WINONA COUNTY
 
 
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF ROCHESTER...SPRING VALLEY...
HARMONY...PRESTON...ST. CHARLES...WABASHA...AND MINNESOTA CITY.
 
AT 435 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA FROM EAST OF AUSTIN TO ROCHESTER
AND WABASHA.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE PRODUCED DAMAGING WIND
...HAIL...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH WERE
RECORDED AT THE ROCHESTER WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE AT 415 PM CDT.
AT 435 PM CDT 3/4 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED AT ST. CHARLES.
 
THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.  IF YOU ARE IN
THE PATH OF THESE STORMS...GO IMMEDIATELY TO A STRONG REINFORCED
BUILDING.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT FOR THE
SOUTHEAST AND SOUTH CENTRAL PORTIONS OF MINNESOTA.
 
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING..MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING
DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL
APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOS WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.
