000 TTAA00 KRST 161952 SVRRST MNC099-109-162030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ROCHESTER MN 250 PM CDT SAT MAY 16 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ROCHESTER MN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA ...NORTHERN MOWER COUNTY...OLMSTED COUNTY THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF RACINE...ROCHESTER AND STEWARTVILLE. AT 245 PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF AUSTIN. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH TOWARD THE TOWNS OF RACINE...ROCHESTER...AND STEWARTVILLE. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WSHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
