THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ROCHESTER MN HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN WABASHA COUNTY...NORTHWESTERN WINONA COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF ST. CHARLES AND EYOTA.
 
AT 400 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EAST
OF ROCHESTER NEAR THE TOWN OF ST. CHARLES.  THE STORMS
WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.  THESE STORMS HAVE
PRODUCED HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
 
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THE STORMS...GO TO A SAFE
PLACE IMMEDIATELY.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT FOR
PARTS OF SOUTHEAST AND SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
 
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING..MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING
DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL
APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOS WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING.
