TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO A LARGE PART OF
WESTERN TEXAS EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING UNTIL 1000 PM
MDT.

TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND DAMAGING
THUNDERSTORM WINDS ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND  80 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM  35 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF FORT STOCKTON TEXAS TO
20 MILES EAST OF CLAYTON NEW MEXICO.

AT 253 PM CDT(153 PM MDT)...THUNDERSTORMS HAD BEGUN TO DEVELOP IN
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS ALONG THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS IN
RESPONSE TO AN UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVING INTO THE AREA FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
IN COMBINATION WITH ABUNDANT MOISTURE AND HEATING...SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS...SOME POSSIBLY PRODUCING TORNADOES ARE EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE TO DEVELOP IN THE WATCH AREA.
