000 TTAA00 KSTC 182216 SVRSTC MNC121-182300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST CLOUD MINNESOTA 516 PM CDT THU JUL 18 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST CLOUD MINNESOTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...NORTHWESTERN POPE COUNTY AT 5 10 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ALEXANDRIA MINNESOTA JUST NORTH OF THE CITY OF MORRIS. THERE HAS BEEN A POWER FAILURE AT MORRIS. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. THE STORM WILL MOVE OVER THE TOWNS OF CYRUS AND STARBUCK BETWEEN 5 15 AND 5 30 PM AND WILL MOVE OVER THE CITY OF GLENWOOD BEFORE 6PM CDT. BOATERS ON LAKE MINNEWASKA SHOULD HEAD FOR SHORE IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. NNNN
