000 TTAA00 KSTC 180110 SVRSTC MNC023-173-180145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST CLOUD MINNESOTA 810 PM CDT WED JUL 17 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST CLOUD MINNESOTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...WESTERN CHIPPEWA COUNTY...EASTERN YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTY INCLUDING THE CITIES OF MONTEVIDEO AND GRANITE FALLS. AT 805 PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF MONTEVIDEO MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH. THIS STORM WILL MOVE THROUGH MONTEVIDEO BY 830 PM AND INTO GRANITE FALLS BY 845 PM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER... A NEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT COVERS MUCH OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA INCLUDING THE ST CLOUD AREA. AT 630 PM CDT THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO DEVELOP OVER CENTRAL MINNESOTA. THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED 20 MILES NORTHWEST OF ALEXANDRIA AND WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH. OTHER STRONG STORMS WERE LOCATED IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND NORTH OF THE TWIN CITIES.
