THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH TEXAS
 
   ...BEXAR COUNTY...SOUTHERN COMAL COUNTY...SOUTHERN KENDALL COUNTY
 
IN NORTHERN BEXAR COUNTY LOW WATERS CROSSING NORTH AND EAST OF THE
AIRPORT ARE COVERED WITH WATER FROM 1 TO 2 FEET DEEP...AND ADDITIONAL
RAINS OF 2 AND 3 INCHES HAVE FALLEN SINCE MIDNIGHT. SOME ROADS IN THE
OLMOS BASIN OF SAN ANTONIO HAVE BEEN BARRICADED. THIS WARNING REPLACES
THE PREVIOUS WARNING FOR EASTERN BEXAR COUNTY.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS.  TRAVELERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS FLOODED ROADS.  IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...LEAVE IT AND MOVE
IMMEDIATELY TO HIGHER GROUND.
