000 TTAA00 KFSM 030451 SVRFSM OKC079-030545- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT SMITH AR 1150 PM CDT WED MAY 2 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT SMITH HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA ...LE FLORE COUNTY AT 1148 CDT FORT SMITH RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN LEFLORE COUNTY EXTENDING FROM NORTHWEST OF SPIRO OKLAHOMA TO SOUTHWEST OF WISTER OKLAHOMA. THIS LINE IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
