...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NO LONGER IN EFFECT FOR NORTH LOUISIANA AND
SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...

AT 1130 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHEAST TEXAS AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS.
THE HEAVIEST RAIN WAS OCCURRING OVER NORTHEAST TEXAS ABOUT 15 MILES NORTH
OF DANGERFIELD...AND IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS NEAR DEQUEEN. MOVEMENT WAS TO
THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES PER HOUR. THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY
HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOW AREA FLOODING WILL OCCUR AS WELL AS OVERFLOW OF
SMALL STREAMS IN THE AREA.

THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY HAD DIMINISHED ACROSS NORTH LOUISIANA WITH ONLY
PATCHY LIGHT RAIN INDICATED BY RADAR. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER NORTH
CENTRAL LOUISIANA THIS EVENING WERE AROUND TWO INCHES.

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT ACROSS THE AREA AS A
STATIONARY FRONT REMAINS ACROSS THE ARKLATES TONIGHT.

ACROSS NORTHEAST TEXAS..SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS..AND NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...

AT 110 AM CST THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED GENERALLY NORTHWEST OF A LINE
BASTROP TO RUSTON LOUISIANA TO NEAR HEMPHILL TEXAS. THE RAIN EXTENDED
ON NORTHWEST INTO SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST NEAR 30
MILES PER HOUR. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE NOTED NEAR LEWISVILLE
ARKANSAS AND FROM BENTON LOUISIANA TO GRAND CANE LOUISIANA.

THE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING HEAVY RAINS THAT MAY CAUSE
SOME LOW AREA AND STREET FLOODING AS WELL AS FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND
GUSTY WINDS.

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT ACROSS THE AREA AS A
STATIONARY FRONT LINGERS ACROSS THE ARKLATEX THROUGH THE NIGHT.
