MARSHAL TEXAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. HEAVY RAIN HAIL AND HIGH
WINDS WERE OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM.

OKZ026-TXZ022-023-027-028-032-033-ARZ009-010-011-016-LAZ001-002-003- 004-005-006-022330- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 415 PM CST FRI FEB 2 1990 ISOLATED STRONG THRUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER NORTH LOUISIANA AND ADJACENT AREAS OF NORTHEAST TEXAS. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO EFFECT NORTH LOUISIANA AND ADJACENT AREAS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH NO WIDESPREAD THUNEDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED A FEW OF THESE STROMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ALONG WITH SPOTTY HAIL AND UPON DECAY HIGH WIND GUSTS. AT 405 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED SHOWERS AND THUNDER- STORMS DEVELOPING IN A BAND FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOUISISANA TO NEAR LONGVIEW AND TYLER TEXAS. THE STORM OVER CADDO LAKE WAS INCREASING. ANOTHER AREA OF SHOWERS WERE DEVELOPING FROM MONROE TO THE LOWER TOLEDO BEND INTO TEXAS TO NEAR LUFKIN. THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVEOPING NEAR THE TOLEDO BEND RESERVOIR NEAR MANY LOUISIANA.

OKZ026-TXZ022-023-027-028-032-033-ARZ009-010-011-016-LAZ001-002-003- 004-005-006-030200- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA 525 PM CST FRI FEB 2 1990 AT 525 PM CST THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPING NEAR CASTOR LOUISIANA 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF RUSTON LOUISIANA. THE STORM WILL MOVE NORTH NORTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MPH AND PRODUCE HAIL... VERY HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOCAL HIGH WIND GUSTS. OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF MONROE LOUISIANA...NORTH OF NATCHITOCHES...AND 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF TEXARKANA. THESE STORMS WERE WITHIN TWO BANDS OF SHOWERES AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE LOCATED FROM WEST OF OAK GROVE LOUISIANA TO NORTHWEST OF MONROE TO NEAR COUSHATTA AND NATCHITOCHES TO NEAR LUFKIN TEXAS. THE OTHER BAND WAS LOCATED FROM NEAR PRESCOTT ARKANAS TO THE TEXARKANA- LEWISVILLE AREA TO NEAR GILMER TEXAS. A FEW OTHER STRONG STORMS WPILL DEVELOP TONIGHT...HOWEVER COVERAGE WILL BE ISOLATED BUT SOME WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN HAIL AND HIGH WIND GUSTS. ONE OR TWO OF THE STORMS MAY BECOME SEVERE.
