FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI

AT 920 PM...HEAVY RAINS CONTINUED ACROSS PIKE COUNTY WITH THUNDER-
STORMS INCREASING IN NUMBER OVER AREAS JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST. THESE
STORMS WILL PRODUCE EXCESSIVE RAINS FOR THE NEXT 2 TO 3 HOURS AS
THEY MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS MCCOMB. STREET FLOODING AND OVERFLOWING
CREEKS WILL CONTINUE TO WORSEN.
 
SOME GRAVEL ROADS IN NORTHEAST PIKE COUNTY HAVE ALREADY WASHED
OUT AND SOME ROADS ARE CLOSED AS REPORTED BY MCCOMB POLICE.
 
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROAD.  NEVER
TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
