THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF KANSAS
      LABETTE

AT 5:00 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR PARSONS.
60 MPH AND ONE INCH HAIL WAS OBSERVED AT PARSONS.

THE STORMS IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

 IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM...GO TO A
REINFORCED SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...
VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND LIGHTNING.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO OCCASIONALLY DO

AT 430PM AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS 20 MILES WIDE WITH HEAVY RAIN...
SAMLL HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS WAS LOCATED FROM 25 MILES SOUTH OF
EMPORIA NEAR HAMILTON KANSAS EASTWARD TO IOLA AND FORT SCOTT.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

ANOTHER VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED JUST SOUTHWEST OF LARNED
KANSAS.

ELSEWHERE WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES EAST OF CONCORDIA TO NEAR TOPEKA TO
40 MILES SOUTH OF KANSAS CITY.
