THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF KANSAS
      NORTHERN CHAUTAUQUA

AT 3:40 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THE CHATAUQUA-
COWLEY COUNTY LINE. THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30 MILES
AN HOUR.

 IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM...GO TO A
REINFORCED SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...
VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND LIGHTNING.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO OCCASIONALLY DO
PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE ON THE
