VTZALL-NY011-030000- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT 210 PM EDT SUN SEP 02 1990 A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SOUTHERN VERMONT EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM THIS EVENING. THIS INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF RUTLAND...BENNINGTON...WINDSOR AND WINDHAM. THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN THIS AREA WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLE HAIL. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD KEEP ALERT FOR THREATENING WEATHER AND LISTEN FOR FURTHER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
