A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR SOUTHERN VERMONT
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM THIS EVENING. THIS INCLUDES THE COUNTIES
OF RUTLAND...BENNINGTON...WINDSOR AND WINDHAM.

THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN THIS AREA WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY
VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLE HAIL.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD KEEP ALERT FOR THREATENING
WEATHER AND LISTEN FOR FURTHER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

AT 205 PM A THUNDERSTORM W/ITH VERY HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS WAS
IN RUTLAND COUNTY NEAR CASTLETON. THIS STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST
AT 10 MPH AND WILL BE NEAR CLARENDON BY 230 PM.
IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
