IN SOUTHWEST VERMONT ...RUTLAND COUNTY AT 415 PM...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS IN SOUTHERN RUTLAND COUNTY NEAR TINMOUTH. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTH AT 10 MPH...AND WILL REACH DANBY BY 435 PM. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY. THIS INCLUDES THE COUNTIES OF RUTLAND...BENNINGTON...WINDSOR AND WINDHAM. THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN THIS AREA WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLE HAIL. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.
