TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
...SOUTHERN HINDS
AT 437 PM...JACKSON RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH A
POSSIBLE TORNADO LOCATED NEAR OR JUST A LITTLE WEST OF THE UTICA AREA.
THE STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO THE TERRY AND
BYRAM AREAS IN ABOUT THE NEXT 20-30 MINUTES.
DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO. IF YOU ARE IN THE
PATH OF A TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO TO A STR ONG BUILDING. IF

AT 344 PM...A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS WAS LOCATED ABOUT 5
NORTHWEST OF PORT GIBSON ON THE WARREN/CLAIBORNE COUNTY LINE. THIS
STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN AND MINOR FLOODING HAS IT
MOVES NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWEST HINDS
COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN HAVE ALSO INCREASED IN A 40
MILE WIDE BAND FROM NEAR CANTON TO NORTH OF VICKSBURG. THIS AREA
RECEIVED FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT...SO THE POTENTIAL
