SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
...SOUTHERN HINDS
AT 422 PM...JACKSON RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN
SOUTHWEST HINDS COUNTY NEAR UTICA. THE STORM IS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH
AND WILL MOVE TOWARD TERRY AND BYRAM. THIS STORM MAY PRODUCE LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.
IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING AWAY FROM
WINDOWS. DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND

AT 344 PM...A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS WAS LOCATED ABOUT 5
NORTHWEST OF PORT GIBSON ON THE WARREN/CLAIBORNE COUNTY LINE. THIS
STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN AND MINOR FLOODING HAS IT
MOVES NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWEST HINDS
COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN HAVE ALSO INCREASED IN A 40
MILE WIDE BAND FROM NEAR CANTON TO NORTH OF VICKSBURG. THIS AREA
RECEIVED FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT...SO THE POTENTIAL
