AT 344 PM...A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS WAS LOCATED ABOUT 5
NORTHWEST OF PORT GIBSON ON THE WARREN/CLAIBORNE COUNTY LINE. THIS
STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN AND MINOR FLOODING HAS IT
MOVES NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO NORTHWEST HINDS
COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR.

OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN HAVE ALSO INCREASED IN A 40
MILE WIDE BAND FROM NEAR CANTON TO NORTH OF VICKSBURG. THIS AREA
RECEIVED FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT...SO THE POTENTIAL
FOR FLOODING IS HIGHEST ZIN THIS AREA AT THIS TIME.

PERSONS IN AND NEAR THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA SHOULD MONITOR THE
WEATHER SITUATION FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS AS RAINFALL IS EXPECTED
TO CONTINUE INCREASING.
