000 TTAA00 KSGF 051552 SVRSGF MOC091-215-051650- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 1052 AM CDT SUN JUL 5 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1150 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI...NORTHERN HOWELL AND TEXAS AT 1050 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 55 MILES NORTHEAST TO 25 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD MOVING TO THE EAST AT 40 MILES PER HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE NORTHERN PORTION OF HOWELL COUNTY FROM WEST PLAINS NORTHWARD. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW AREAS. PEOPLE OUTDOORS..IN RECREATION AREAS OR AMUSEMENT PARKS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. CAMPERS ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
