000 TTAA00 KSGF 051531 SVRSGF MOC067-051630- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 1031 AM CDT SUN JUL 5 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...DOUGLAS AT 1030 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 50 MILES NORTHEAST TO 20 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD MOVING TO THE EAST AT 35 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH THE CITY OF AVA. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW AREAS. PEOPLE OUTDOORS..IN RECREATION AREAS OR AMUSEMENT PARKS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
