THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 552 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...CHERRY AND THE CITY OF VALENTINE

AT 552 PM CDT RADAR INDICATE A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDING FROM 20 MILES SOUTHWEST TO 45 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
VALENTINE NEBRASKA.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD GET INTO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...GREATER THAN 3/4 INCH
IN DIAMETER...DAMAGING WINDS AND VERY HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY
FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

REPORTS OF SEVERE WEATHER OR DAMAGE CAN BE GIVEN TO A LAW
ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

PERSONS DRIVING IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR WATER OVER
ROADS...IN UNDERPASSSES AND NEAR SMALL STREAMS.
