THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 AM CDT  FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

CENTRAL MINNESOTA.EXTREME..SOUTHERN STEARNS..MEEKER INCLUDING THE
CITIES OF WATKINS..EDEN VALLEY..AND..LITCHFIELD

AT 250 AM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORNS IN SOUTHERN STEARNS AND
NORTHERN MEEKER COUNTIES OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30
MILES AN HOUR.

AT 212 AM CDT THE MEEKER COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPT. REPORTED 3/4 INCH HAIL
AT WATKINS IN EXTREME NORTHERN MEEKER COUNTY ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF ST CLOUD.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN..HAIL AND DAMAGING
WINDS.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW AN AREA OF VERY
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT 40 TO 50 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF THE
TWIN CITIES.  THE STRONGEST STORMS REMAINED IN RENVILLE..MC LEOD AND
SIBLEY COUNTIES.  SOME OF THE CITIES NEAR THE PATH OF THESE STORMS
ARE HECTOR..GAYLORD..GLENCOE..AND HUTCHINSON.  NO REPORTS OF SEVERE
WEATHER HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SINCE BEFORE
8PM. HOWEVER..REPORTS OF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN...INTENSE LIGHTNING..AND
SMALL HAIL DO CONTINUE.

OTHER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS REMAINED ACROSS A LARGE PART
OF SqOUTHERN AND CENTRAL MINNESOTA.  REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA UNTIL 11PM.

ALL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 TO 35 MPH.
