000 TTAA00 KLBB 300246 FFWLBB TXC305-300545- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED/EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX 945 PM CDT MON SEP 29 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF WEST TEXAS...LYNN AT 940 PM CDT RADAR WAS SHOWING SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHERN LYNN COUNTY...ONE NEAR NEW HOME AND ANOTHER NEAR WILSON. THE STORM NEAR NEW HOME WAS FOLLOWING THE PREVIOUS STORMS EXACT PATH...THAT IS TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 25 MPH. THE REPEAT NATURE OF THESE STORMS RAISES THE LIKELIHOOD OF FLASH FLOODING PROBLEMS...ESPECIALLY IN NORTHERN LYNN COUNTY. AVOID ALL LOW LdYING AREAS IN NORTHERN LYNN COUNTY THIS EVENING. MOTORISTS WHOSE VEHICLE STALLS SHOULD SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATLY.

AT 355PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING
OVER PORTIONS OF TERRY...LYNN...LUBBOCK...HALE AND FLOYD COUNTIES WITH
AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHWEST DICKENS COUNTY. STRONGEST STORMS
WERE FROM EXTREME NORTHWEST LUBBOCK COUNTY NORTHEAST THROUGH HALE COUNTY.
MOVEMENT OF ALL STORMS WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.
