Typhoon Matmo

Typhoon Matmo, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Paolo, was a strong and costly tropical cyclone that unleashed widespread and devastating flooding in northern and north central Vietnam in early October 2025. The storm also affected the Philippines, Macau, and southern China. Matmo is the twenty-first named storm and the eighth typhoon of the 2025 Pacific typhoon season, Matmo originated from an area of convection north-northeast of Yap which became a tropical depression on October 1.
