The Carolean Death March, also known as the Catastrophe on Øyfjellet was the disastrous retreat by a force of Swedish soldiers, under the command of Carl Gustaf Armfeldt, across the Tydalen mountain range in Trøndelag, Norway, around the new year 1718–1719.
