- Flooding and High Wind in Rhode Island, March 13 to 21, 2010A stacked low pressure system (surface low and upper level low on top of each other) moved southeast of Nantucket, spreading rain across Southern New England. This resulted in widespread rainfall totals of three to six inches.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Rhode Island, March 7, 2025A strong low was centered over the Gulf of Maine on the morning of the 7th creating a tight pressure gradient across southern New England. This led to strong wind gusts generally 45 to 65 mph.
- Blizzard and Heavy Snow in Rhode Island, February 8 to 9, 2013An historic winter storm deposited tremendous amounts of snow over all of southern New England, mainly from the mid-afternoon on Friday, February 8 and lasting into the daylight hours of Saturday, February 9.
- Coastal Flood and High Wind in Rhode Island, October 29, 2012Superstorm Sandy, a hybrid storm with both tropical and extra-tropical characteristics, brought high winds and coastal flooding to southern New England.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, March 2 to 3, 2018Low pressure moving out of the Ohio Valley passed south of Southern New England on the 2nd and moved out to sea on the 3rd. This storm brought heavy rain and strong winds to much of Rhode Island.
- Flooding and Coastal Flood in Rhode Island, April 15 to 17, 2007An unusually strong and slow moving coastal storm for mid April tracked to western Long Island Sound on April 16th before weakening slowly and drifting offshore.
- Winter Storm and High Wind in Rhode Island, December 9, 2005A low pressure system centered near the Delaware coast intensified rapidly as it tracked quickly northeast across southern New England, producing near-blizzard conditions across Rhode Island around mid afternoon.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, November 13 to 14, 2003Low pressure moving through the St. Lawrence Valley brought high winds to much of southern New England. In Rhode Island, peak wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph brought down trees and power lines.
- Flooding and Coastal Flood in Rhode Island, October 28 to 29, 2006Low pressure intensified as it tracked from the mid Atlantic states to New England. This system brought damaging winds to much of central and southern Rhode Island, where trained spotters and amateur radio operators reported many downed trees and power lines.

Heavy rain coinciding with spring snowmelt contributed to river flooding, especially along the Connecticut River.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, January 25, 2010Unseasonably warm temperatures moved into southern New England ahead of a cold front which allowed for excellent atmospheric mixing. This resulted in strong to damaging winds across much of eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Rhode Island, October 26 to 27, 2021A low pressure nor'easter underwent bombogenesis as it developed east of Nantucket on the 26th. It then moved west toward Nantucket Sound, before heading eastward again back out to sea on the 27th. Winds gusted to 60-90+ mph.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, January 21, 2006An intensifying low pressure system moved east across Quebec, swinging a cold front across southern New England during the mid to late afternoon of 21 January 2006.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, February 7, 2020Powerful low pressure moved from eastern Pennsylvania across central Connecticut and central Massachusetts on February 7, 2020. A southerly jet of 85 to 95 mph was just above the surface at 925 mb.
- Flood and High Wind in Rhode Island, October 29 to 30, 2017The remnants of Tropical Storm Phillipe merged with a mid-latitude system approaching the U.S. East Coast. This created an area of low pressure that moved north from the Carolinas through New York State on the 29th.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Rhode Island, February 16, 2016Low pressure strengthened rapidly as it tracked from the Gulf Coast to upstate New York and Quebec. Strong southerly winds gusted over 60 mph in parts of Rhode Island.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Rhode Island, February 25, 2019A storm moving north through the Great Lakes redeveloped along the Mid Atlantic coast on the 24th, then moved up the coast past Southern New England. This coastal storm brought damaging west-northwest winds to Rhode Island as it moved off through the Maritimes on the 25th.
- High Wind in Rhode Island, February 25, 2011An area of low pressure deepened through the interior Mid-Atlantic Region early on February 25th slowly moving to the northeast and reinvigorating off the immediate shoreline of New England and into the Gulf of Maine before retreating further northeast into Nova Scotia.
- Flooding and High Wind in Rhode Island, October 22, 2014Low pressure moving up the east coast brought a soaking rain and strong winds to much of southern New England. In addition, both downed leaves from the storm and naturally fallen leaves from before the storm clogged storm drains which resulted in street flooding.

There were many reports of downed trees and power lines, especially in the higher elevations.
