- Avalanche in Oregon, February 11, 2014An avalanche killed two people and seriously injured two others near Cornucopia Mountain in northern Baker County, Oregon.
- Avalanche in Oregon, March 7, 2009A 50 year old Enterprise, Oregon man died in an avalanche while backcountry skiing in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Two other people were rescued. The quarter mile long slap avalanche occurred about 1 pm. Heavy snow had fallen in the area earlier in the week.
- Avalanche in Oregon, March 30, 2014A call came in at 3:30 P.M. to the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office reporting that an avalanche with a width of 200 yards and a length of about 100 yards had buried a man and his snowmobile. The depth of the debris field was about 3 to 5 feet.
- Avalanche in Oregon, January 29, 1999Two cross country skiers and a snowboarder were on a back country outing near Spout Springs. At one point, the snowboarder stopped to adjust his bindings and his friends skied on.

- Avalanche in Oregon, May 22, 2005An avalanche was triggered on Thayer Glacier on North Sister, or 14 miles southwest of the city of Sisters. Two climbers were caught in the avalanche and were seriously injured.
- Avalanche in Oregon, January 15, 1998A snowmobiler in Newberry Crater, 25 miles southeast of Bend, dislodged a foot-ball field sized snow field that knocked him more than 100 yards and buried him under 5 feet of snow.
- Blizzard and Avalanche in Oregon, January 6 to 8, 2008A cold front brought plenty of wind and snow to the mountains of Southern Oregon. A Blizzard Warning was issued for Oregon zones ORZ027/028 at 07/1558 PST, effective from 07/2200 until 08/2200 PST.
- Avalanche and Heavy Snow in Oregon, January 7 to 9, 2008A strong and cold Pacific system brought copious amounts of new snow accumulations to the higher elevations of northwest Oregon.
- Avalanche in Oregon, February 8, 1998A man was thrown down a mountainside and temporarily buried by an avalanche while snowmobiling in the Wallowa Mountains near Fish Lake, about fifteen miles north of Halfway. He was able to free all but one leg that was trapped under his machine.
