Ranked by deaths, injuries, damage and size together.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, November 9 to 10, 2007Dense fog developed over parts of Oklahoma during the early to mid morning hours of the 9th. A couple of automobile accidents occurred as a result of poor visibility due to dense fog. Several injuries occurred, but thankfully no fatalities were reported.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 1, 2013A cold front stalled near the Red River in southern Oklahoma on the morning of the 24th. As the front encountered increasing moisture, dense fog developed over portions of southern and eastern Oklahoma. One fatality occurred as the result of an automobile accident.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, September 25, 2024Areas of dense fog developed during the predawn hours of the 25th across central and east-central Oklahoma. Low visibility was reported to have played a role in a multi-vehicle accident in Payne County.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 11, 2001Fog and slick roads developed during the overnight hours of the 11th and continued through mid-morning. Visibilities were occasionally reduced to less than one half mile, while temperatures remained close to freezing.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, February 9 to 10, 1999Dense fog formed over much of western and central Oklahoma from late evening on the 9th through mid-morning of the 10th. Numerous automobile accidents were reported including a 3 car pile-up in Lawton (Comanche County) on Interstate 44 between Rogers Lane and Cache Rd.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 12, 2001Dense fog, with visibilities reduced to less than one quarter of a mile, developed across much of southern and central Oklahoma during the early morning of the 12th, and lasted through the early afternoon.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, November 19, 2007Dense fog developed over parts of Oklahoma during the early to mid morning hours of the 19th. A couple of automobile accidents occurred as a result of poor visibility due to dense fog. Two injuries occurred, but thankfully no fatalities were reported.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 16, 2004Patchy dense fog throughout the area caused numerous delays and cancellation of 49 flights. This day long fog eventually began to lift in the late afternoon to early evening hours from west to east across Oklahoma.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, May 6, 1998Dense fog formed over most of central and southern Oklahoma during the early morning of May 6th, resulting in visibilities of less than one-quarter of a mile at many routine surface observation sights.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 14, 2003Dense fog developed over the southern one half of Oklahoma during the early morning of the 14th and gradually dissipated by mid and late morning. Visibilities were reported less than one quarter of a mile in many areas.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, May 4, 2002Areas of fog, some locally dense with visibilities below one-quarter of a mile, developing during the early morning of the 4th.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 13 to 14, 2004Dense fog reduced visibilities to a quarter mile or less across the area causing hazardous driving conditions. Many traffic accidents were reported due to foggy conditions. One man was injured when he was hit by a train in Lincoln county.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 30, 2003Areas of dense fog developed during the early and mid morning of the 30th, with visibilities below one quarter of a mile at times. Sub-freezing temperatures also allowed frost to form on some bridges and overpasses.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, January 6, 1999Dense fog formed across much of south central Oklahoma during the morning of the 6th with temperatures below freezing. Frost was deposited on many area roads causing numerous accidents. At least 14 accidents are known to have occurred.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, March 12, 2002Fog, some locally dense with visibilities below one quarter of a mile, developed during the early morning of the 12th. One weather/vehicle-related fatality occurred when a man drove through a stop sign, without slowing down, and ran into a tractor-trailer.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, February 6, 1996Dense fog reduced visibilities to near zero across parts of southern Oklahoma. In Love County, the dense fog contributed to a 6-vehicle accident involving a school bus, a pickup truck, and 4 cars. Three people sustained minor injuries.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, November 10, 2013Clear skies and light winds across the Oklahoma Panhandle allowed strong radiational cooling during the early morning hours of the 10th. The strong cooling coupled with low level moisture in place across the panhandle to cause the development of dense fog.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, November 10 to 11, 2013Clear skies and light winds across the Oklahoma Panhandle allowed strong radiational cooling during the late night hours of the 10th. The strong cooling coupled with low level moisture in place across the panhandle to cause the development of dense fog.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, December 11 to 12, 2014A persistent moist air mass resulted in another night of dense fog across much of the Oklahoma panhandle, beginning as early as mid-evening on the 11th for some locations.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, October 23, 2014The combination of ample low level moisture from earlier rains and calm winds led to the development of dense fog across Texas and Beaver County during the early morning hours of the 23rd.
- Dense Fog in Oklahoma, March 1, 2014A cold front moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle during the early morning hours of the 1st. The cooler airmass behind the cold front allowed temperatures to cool to the dewpoint and dense fog developed as a result.
