- Winter Storm in North Dakota, January 1, 1999A trough of low pressure extended from the northern plains into an area of intense low pressure system over the central plains. A strong upper level short wave accompanied the surface trough as it moved through the northern plains on New Years day.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, February 28, 2007A low pressure system ejecting out of the Northern Rockies and into Wisconsin brought snow across western and central North Dakota from late Tuesday night February 27th into Wednesday night February 28th.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in North Dakota, April 2, 2010A significant and damaging early spring storm severely impacted much of south central North Dakota on Good Friday, April 2nd. Widespread damages to electrical utilities and nearly impossible travel conditions were common.

- Winter Storm in North Dakota, April 18 to 19, 2006See StormData entry for High Wind from April 18, 2006. The high wind event evolved into a winter storm with snow and gusty winds in the 30 to 40 mph range and visibility near zero at times in open country.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in North Dakota, November 5 to 7, 2008A significant and complex winter storm impacted much of western and central North Dakota beginning Wednesday, November 5th, and lasting into Friday, November 7th. Winter storm warnings and blizzard warnings were posted well in advance of the storm.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, November 2, 2000A low pressure system over Colorado moved northeast over the plains and intensified. Heavy snow fell across northcentral and western North Dakota with snow amounts ranging from 6 to 14 inches. In Divide county 14 inches of snow fell in the city ofFortuna.
- Flash Flooding and Blizzard in North Dakota, March 22 to 25, 2009A significant low pressure system developed in the lee of the Rocky Mountains over Colorado and Wyoming Sunday, March 22nd, strengthening and ejecting northeast into the upper Midwest by Tuesday, March 24th.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, March 12 to 13, 1997A winter storm that moved out of Montana brought yet more snow to a winter weary state. The snow was mainly confined in a band from the northwest part of the state to the southcentral.

- Winter Storm in North Dakota, November 6 to 8, 2000A surface low dropped southeast out of Canada to the North Dakota and Minnesota border, bringing the first outbreak of winter weather to the Devils Lake region. As the temperature fell on the back side of the low, rain changed to freezing rain and then to snow.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in North Dakota, April 14 to 15, 2013Strong low pressure pushed across the Rockies April 13th, slowed down over the Dakotas April 14th, then moved east on April 15th.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in North Dakota, November 9 to 11, 2022A strong Colorado Low moved through the area, bringing multiple inches of snow and 30 - 50 MPH winds to the area. This created blowing snow or blizzard conditions in some areas.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, March 23 to 25, 1996An early spring snow storm moved up out of the 4-corners region of the country to bring another round of severe winter weather to the northern plains.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, November 7 to 8, 2000A strong low pressure system along the Kansas/Missouri border moved northward to western Minnesota. Abundant amount ofmoisture was drawn northward with this system and wrapped around much colder air to the west and north of the low pressure center.
- Winter Storm in North Dakota, December 17 to 19, 2002A low pressure system developed over southwestern South Dakota, intensified and moved northeast to northwestern Minnesotaduring the day on the 17th of December.

- Winter Storm in North Dakota, October 20 to 21, 1996The first winter storm of the year moved through Montana and slowed over North Dakota. Unseasonably warm air ahead of the low was replaced by cold arctic air. Snow began falling in the western part of the state on the evening of Sunday, Oct.
