- Winter Storm in North Carolina, February 2 to 5, 1996An unusual winter storm began with freezing rain on Friday morning, February 2 across Greene, Lenoir, Pitt, Martin, Washington and Beaufort counties.
- Winter Storm in North Carolina, February 17 to 18, 1998The third coastal storm in less than 3 weeks struck mainly coastal areas from Onslow to Hyde County. Up to 5 inches of rain fell along the coast . Belhaven had almost three feet of water standing in low-lying streets and City Hall was flooded.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in North Carolina, January 3 to 4, 2018A surface low intensified off the Carolina coast, resulting in snow occurring over much of Central North Carolina. Bands of heavy snow developed, resulting in snowfall totals of 3 to 6 inches in some locations.
- Winter Storm in North Carolina, January 19, 1998Low pressure intensifying off the South Carolina coast produced snow across much of east central North Carolina. Totals ranged from 4 inches in Martin and Pitt counties to a trace along the coast. Numerous accidents were reported as vehicles slid into ditches.

- Winter Storm and Coastal Flood in North Carolina, January 3 to 4, 2018Rapidly deepening low pressure passing offshore of the coast produced widespread hazardous winter weather across eastern North Carolina from the evening of January 3rd through the morning of January 4th.
- Winter Storm and High Wind in North Carolina, October 28 to 31, 2012Hurricane Sandy moved north off the Atlantic Coast and combined with a complex low pressure system and deepening trough over the eastern part of the U.S., and then turned west northwest and into New Jersey into Pennsylvania, slowing down and then drifting north.
- Winter Storm in North Carolina, December 8 to 9, 2018A low pressure system tracked eastward along the Gulf Coast and spread moisture northward toward the Mid Atlantic. Meanwhile, high pressure to the north allowed temperatures to fall into the 20s, which caused the moisture to mostly fall as heavy snow.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in North Carolina, March 1 to 2, 2009Bands of heavy snow moved across Central North Carolina blanketing the region with 2 to 8 inches of snow. Areas in the piedmont experienced the most snow fall with the Triad reporting up to 8 inches.
- Winter Storm in North Carolina, February 3 to 6, 1998An intense coastal low moved northeast along the immediate coastline producing strong winds and heavy rain across the region. Seas of 14 to 16 feet ate away at the beaches from Topsail Island to the Outer Banks.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in North Carolina, March 6 to 7, 2014A strong surface low deepening off the Carolina coast brought a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to the northern-northwestern Piedmont counties. Snowfall amounts of 4 to 7 inches fell Forsyth, Person and Guilford counties.

The low pressure system caused a wintry mix of precipitation across the area throughout the day, with mainly snow as the precipitation broke out during the morning.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in North Carolina, February 10 to 13, 2025A high pressure wedge was situated over the region as a surface low pressure system developed over the southern Plains, with an expansive area of precipitation that shifted eastward into the Mid Atlantic during the day of February 11.
