- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, November 27, 2015A strong southeasterly swell along the Atlantic ocean waters off the New Jersey coast produced hazardous seas in the waters off the Monmouth County coast and into Manasquan Inlet during the afternoon of the 27th.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, April 15, 2018A boat capsized resulting in two fatalities on the 15th around noon. Gradient winds were estimated to be around 20 knots.

Locally gusty winds...up to 30 mph...briefly occurred along the leading edge of the area of rain over the waters near Schoodic Point.

- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, January 18, 2025An approaching low pressure system on January 18th tightened the pressure gradient over the Gulf of Maine. This caused near gale force winds over the Gulf of Maine, with seas building to near 8 feet.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, July 4, 2007A 32-year-old woman drowned in Barnegat Bay after a boat she was riding in capsized at about 820 p.m. EDT. Winds were estimated to be gusting at 30 to 35 mph from the south at the time the boat capsized. The capsizing was made easier by two waves which struck the boat.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, August 26, 2008Gusty northwest winds, of up to 20 knots behind a departing cold front, caused a catamaran to capsize in Western Long Island Sound, near Westport. A 3 year old occupant of the boat drowned in the accident.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, March 15, 2007A cold front approaching the Maryland Chesapeake Bay on March 15th produced gusty winds. Automated surface observations from Annapolis and Patuxent River on western shore of the Bay reported wind gusts between 20 and 25 knots.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, May 16, 2007Three men (20-year-old, 21-year-old and 25-year-old) were rescued from the frigid waters off of Cape Henlopen on the afternoon of the 16th after their kayaks overturned. All were treated for hypothermia and released.
- Marine Strong Wind in North Atlantic Coastal Waters, October 29 to 30, 2011Strong northeast winds overspread Delaware Bay during the morning through the evening of the 29th. This produced gale force wind gusts on the bay. Off of the Woodland Beach Public Dock in Kent County, a boat capsized. Three hunters were rescued.

A 54 knot (62 mph) gust was reported at Eastport in Washington county...with a 55 knot (63 mph) gust reported at the Jonesport buoy.
