- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 21 to 24, 2011One of the most oppressive heat waves since mid July 1995 enveloped New Jersey from July 21st through the 24th. The heat was responsible for two deaths and hundreds of heat related injuries. Many locations had high temperatures that reached into the 100s.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, June 23, 2025An anomalously hot air mass overspread Northeastern New Jersey on June 23, 2025 as high pressure was centered over the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. Heat index values peaked at around 110 degrees F in the afternoon.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, June 7 to 10, 2008The most oppressive heat wave of the meteorological summer affected New Jersey from June 7th through the 10th.

Widespread high temperatures reached into the mid to upper 90s and the most oppressive days (combination of heat and humidity) occurred on the 18th and 19th.

- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 8 to 10, 2007A heat wave brought unseasonably hot weather to most of New Jersey on July 8th through the 10th. The highest temperatures were on the 9th and 10th and were mostly in the mid to upper 90s.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, June 20 to 22, 2012Unseasonably hot weather that started on the 20th in New Jersey, persisted into the 22nd across the southern third of the state resulted in high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and afternoon heat indices of around 100 degrees.

- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, August 7 to 8, 2007One of the hottest and most humid air masses of the summer affected the central and southern New Jersey on the 7th and most of the state on the 8th. Highest temperatures were close to 100 degrees in most areas. The 8th was the hottest day.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 23 to 25, 2010The last heat wave in July culminated with some of the highest heat indices of the summer on the 24th and numerous high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, June 29, 2012An unseasonably hot and humid day produced high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s in most of New Jersey. South of the Interstate 80 corridor, the combination of heat and humidity levels, produced maximum hourly heat indices that reached between 100F and 105F.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, July 4 to 7, 2012Both excessive heat and more humidity returned to central and southern New Jersey starting on Independence Day and lasted until the 7th.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 16 to 23, 2008The longest heat wave of the summer affected New Jersey from July 16th through the 22nd. Some places in southern New Jersey also reached into the lower 90s on the 23rd.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, August 10, 2009As an area of high pressure was located off the East Coast on the 10th, a hot and very humid air mass (dew points in the mid to even locally upper 70s) was across the area.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 5 to 7, 2010The hottest weather of the summer season occurred on July 5th through the 7th throughout the state of New Jersey. Many high temperatures on the 6th and 7th exceeded 100 degrees, some places even on the 5th exceeded 100 degrees.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, May 2 to 4, 2001A very strong ridge of high pressure both at the surface and aloft coupled with the strong early May sun helped produce unseasonably warm and even some record breaking temperatures for early May. High temperatures reached into the lower 90s on both the 3rd and the 4th.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, June 27 to 28, 2010Two more days of unseasonably hot and humid weather in central and southern New Jersey occurred on the 27th and 28th. Most high temperatures reached in the mid to upper 90s both days and combined with the humid air mass to produce afternoon heat indices of around 100F.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, June 23 to 24, 2010Unseasonably hot and humid weather enveloped central and southern New Jersey on the 23rd and 24th. It culminated on the 24th with many maximum temperatures in the upper 90s and afternoon heat indices of 100F to 105F.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in New Jersey, July 6 to 7, 2013The first run of hot weather that combined high temperatures in the 90s and more oppressive humidity levels affected central and southern New Jersey on July 6th and most of the state on July 7th.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, July 25, 2025A Bermuda high pressure and approaching cold front combined to produce a surge of heat and humidity across the region.
- Excessive Heat in New Jersey, August 25, 2007An unseasonably hot and humid air mass affected most of New Jersey on the 25th. While high temperatures were mainly in the lower to mid 90s inland, dew point temperatures averaged in the mid 70s.
