- Avalanche and High Wind in Nevada, February 20, 2021A shortwave moved through Friday evening and into Saturday producing windy conditions Saturday afternoon along with rain and snow showers.
- Avalanche in Nevada, December 15, 2002A group of skiers traveling out of bounds from a ski area triggered an avalanche. One skier was trapped and killed.
- Avalanche in Nevada, January 9, 2023A hiker was killed in an avalanche at an elevation of approximately 11,000 feet in the Spring Mountains.
- Flash Flooding and Avalanche in Nevada, December 19 to 24, 2010A series of storms fueled by a tropical moisture tap pounded the Mojave Desert and southern Great Basin for several days. Extremely heavy snow and widespread flooding resulted.
- Winter Storm and Avalanche in Nevada, March 1 to 4, 2018A major winter storm brought heavy snow and strong winds to portions of northern and central Nevada. Some of the heavier snowfall amounts included 10 to 20 inches in Spring Creek and Lamoille, 14-17 inches in Eureka, and 7 inches in Ely.

- Avalanche and Heavy Snow in Nevada, November 15 to 17, 2017The winter season's first strong atmospheric river moved slowly south from the Pacific Northwest coast between the 15th and the 16th before moving inland over northern California and Nevada on the 17th.
- Debris Flows and Avalanche in Nevada, March 9 to 12, 2023Strong, even damaging west-southwest winds increased travel hazards especially to high profile trucks but also increased the danger for destructive avalanches across the region. Snow started at all elevations Thursday evening with snow levels rapidly rising Friday morning.

- Avalanche in Nevada, February 12, 2007One day after a powerful snowstorm moved through the region an avalanche occurred at the Mt. Rose ski area.
- Avalanche and Heavy Snow in Nevada, December 23 to 26, 2025A multi-day storm brought 1.5-3 of rain across the main urban areas of far western NV, with 0.25-1 totals into other portions of northwest NV and east of the Reno-Carson City region to remaining areas west of US-95, with less than 0.25 near and east of US-95 in west central NV.

- Avalanche in Nevada, December 7, 1997An avalanche occurred on the Mount Rose Highway (Highway 431), depositing 5 to 6 feet of snow. The avalanche closed the highway for about two hours. Two cars were reported stranded. Significant damage was not assessed.
- Avalanche in Nevada, February 23, 1998Mt. Rose Highway: avalanche briefly closed highway, no vehicles involved or damages noted.
