- Winter Storm in Georgia, January 28 to 29, 2014An arctic front pushed through the Southeast on the 27th, leaving very cold air in its wake. Behind the front, an area of moisture pushed north out of the Gulf on the 28th, spreading precipitation across north and central Georgia.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 16 to 17, 2018A strong surface low and cold front associated with a large and deep upper-level trough, brought light to moderate snow to much of north and central Georgia from the afternoon of the January 16th through the morning of January 17th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Georgia, January 9 to 14, 2011One of the most significant winter storms to affect north and central Georgia in years, but especially north Georgia, began the evening of January 9th and continued throughout much of the following work week.
- Tornadoes and Winter Storm in Georgia, January 2 to 3, 2022Showers and thunderstorms affected much of the area ahead of a strong storm system and associated cold front. Some of the storms became severe with damaging winds and a few tornadoes, mainly on January 2nd.
- Winter Storm in Georgia, January 28 to 30, 2005A significant and fairly prolonged winter storm/ice storm affected nearly all of North and Central Georgia from the evening of Friday January 28th to late morning on Sunday January 30th.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Georgia, February 11 to 13, 2014The second major winter storm in as many weeks hit north and central Georgia on February 12th. An area of extremely strong cold air damming moved down the Eastern Seaboard and into north Georgia on the 12th.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, January 28 to 29, 2014The third winter storm to impact the NWS Tallahassee County warning area in five years brought a wintry mix of precipitation to virtually the entire forecast area. The predominant precipitation types were sleet and freezing rain.
- Winter Storm in Georgia, January 2, 2002The same storm which brought heavy snow to much of north and central Georgia from the 2nd to the 3rd first began across the southeast portion of central Georgia.
- Winter Storm in Georgia, February 2 to 3, 1996Freezing rain accumulated 1 to 2 inches before changing to sleet and then snow. Up to 2 to 4 inches of snow fell in the north Georgia mountains. The hardest hit counties were Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, and Chattooga.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Georgia, February 8, 2020A fast moving mid-level short wave swept through the region during the morning and early afternoon. With a fairly cold airmass in place over north Georgia and ample mid-level moisture, moderate to heavy snow quickly accumulated across a large portion of north Georgia.
- Winter Storm in Georgia, January 18, 2026A strong upper trough approached Georgia on the morning of Sunday, January 18th, drawing Gulf moisture northward into central Georgia. Meanwhile, a cold front brought an influx of colder air into the area.
