- Excessive Heat in Delaware, September 10, 2016Temperatures soared into the mid 90's across Delaware. This was coupled with a considerable amount of outdoor activities going on including several high school football games. 12 players cramped up during the Carvel @ Concord game.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, July 15 to 20, 2013The most oppressive hot spell of the summer season affected Delaware from July 15th through the 20th. Widespread high temperatures reached into the mid 90s and the most oppressive days (combination of heat and humidity) occurred on the 18th and 19th.

- Excessive Heat in Delaware, May 2 to 4, 2001A very strong ridge of high pressure both at the surface and aloft coupled with the strong early May sun helped produce unseasonably warm temperatures for early May across Delaware. High temperatures reached near 90 degrees on both the 3rd and the 4th.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, August 7 to 8, 2007One of the hottest and most humid air masses of the summer affected Delaware on the 7th and 8th. Highest temperatures were near 100 degrees in most areas. The 8th was the hottest day.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, July 8 to 10, 2007A heat wave brought unseasonably hot weather to Delaware on July 8th through the 10th. The highest temperatures were on the 9th and 10th and were mostly in the mid to upper 90s.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, June 7 to 10, 2008The most oppressive heat wave of the meteorological summer affected Delaware from June 7th through the 10th. The combination of high temperatures well into the 90s and dew point temperatures in the 70s produced apparent temperatures or heat indices values as high as 105 to 110.

- Excessive Heat in Delaware, June 27 to 28, 2010Two more days of unseasonably hot and humid weather affected Delaware on the 27th and 28th. Most high temperatures reached into the upper 90s again and combined with the humid air mass to produce afternoon heat indices near 105F on the 28th.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, June 23 to 24, 2010Unseasonably hot and humid weather enveloped Delaware on the 23rd and 24th. It culminated on the 24th with maximum temperatures in the upper 90s and afternoon heat indices of 100F to 105F. For many places this was already hotter than the hottest day in all of 2009.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, July 23 to 25, 2010The last heat wave in July culminated with some of the highest heat indices of the summer on the 24th and numerous high temperatures in the upper 90s. The combination of the heat and humidity produced heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees on the 24th.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, July 21 to 24, 2011One of the most oppressive heat waves since mid July 1995 enveloped Delaware from July 21st through the 24th. Many locations had high temperatures that reached into the 100s.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, June 29, 2012An unseasonably hot and humid day produced high temperatures of around 100 degrees in Delaware on the 29th. Combined with the humidity levels, maximum heat indices reached between 105F and 110F.

- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, July 17 to 18, 2012Another unseasonably hot and humid air mass affected Delaware on the 17th and 18th. High temperatures on the 17th reached into the upper 90s in most places with afternoon heat indices of around 100F.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, June 20 to 22, 2012An unseasonably hot air mass produced three consecutive days with high temperatures in the middle to upper 90s across Delaware and afternoon heat index values of between 100F and 105F each day. Most of the highest temperatures occurred on the 21st.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, July 19 to 20, 2015Unseasonably hot and humid weather affected Delaware on the 19th and 20th. High temperatures both days reached into the lower to mid 90s. The 19th was hotter and more humid overall with afternoon heat index values of around 105F.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, June 26 to 28, 2007The first heat wave of the season (loosely defined as three consecutive days with high temperatures of 90 degrees or higher) occurred across most of Delaware from the 26th through the 28th.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, August 25, 2007An unseasonably hot and humid air mass affected Delaware on the 25th. While high temperatures were mainly in the lower to mid 90s, dew point temperatures averaged in the mid to upper 70s.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, August 10, 2009As an area of high pressure was located off the East Coast on the 10th, a hot and very humid air mass (dew points in the mid 70s) was across the area. This resulted in high heat indices in the region, with peak values of 105 degrees at Georgetown and Dover.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Delaware, August 10 to 11, 2010A three day heat wave from the 9th through the 11th peaked with high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and afternoon heat indices of around 105F on the 10th in Delaware. A pair of backdoor cold fronts ended the hot weather on the 12th.
- Excessive Heat in Delaware, July 5 to 7, 2010The hottest weather of the summer season occurred on July 5th through the 7th throughout the state of Delaware. Many high temperatures on the 6th and 7th away from the immediate coast exceeded 100 degrees.
