Most of the hail reports were between 1-1.75 and fell along a line stretching west to east across the northern portions of the DFW Metroplex.

Some of the thunderstorms produced small hail. A cold front then moved into northern Illinois bringing freezing rain to far northern Illinois.

• Hail in Wisconsin, February 22, 20220.75 in hail · 1 eventA few thunderstorms occurred across southwest Wisconsin during the morning of February 22nd. These storms produced some hail with the largest reported being penny sized near Mount Zion (Crawford County).
• Flash Flood and Flooding in Tennessee, February 22, 2022$2,000 · 1 in hail · 9 eventsNumerous showers and thunderstorms affected Middle Tennessee on February 22. Some of the storms became severe with a few reports of large hail and wind damage. In addition, heavy rainfall resulted in flooding across several areas of Middle Tennessee.

• Tornado and Flooding in Alabama, February 22 to 23, 2022$62,000 · EF0 · 13 eventsA line of strong to severe storms marched across Northern Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee during the late afternoon hours and into the evening hours of the 22nd. As the evening progressed, the line of storms slowed down and caused more of a flooding threat.
• Flash Flooding in Alabama, February 23, 20225 eventsA line of thunderstorms ahead of a slow moving cold front produced periods of heavy rainfall over a several period over the northwest portions of central Alabama. Rainfall totals averaged 2-3 inches.
• Flash Flood in Georgia, February 23, 20221 eventA stalled cold front moved into northwest Georgia late on February 22, 2022. This front combined with anomalously moist and unstable conditions to produce training showers and thunderstorms that resulted in heavy rainfall over northwest Georgia.
• Flash Flooding and Flooding in Tennessee, February 23 to 24, 202222 eventsA moist southwesterly flow aloft ran nearly parallel to a stalled cold front near east Tennessee on the 23rd. A surface low near Lake Charles LA would move up the boundary and produce a second round of rains on the 24th.
• Flash Flooding and Flooding in Tennessee, February 23 to 24, 20228 eventsIn addition to severe weather, excessive rainfall occurred causing numerous locations to experience flash flooding.
