Snow overspread northern NY during the afternoon hours and quickly became heavy at times during the late afternoon and evening hours with snowfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour at times. Snow ended during the early overnight hours of February 21st. Snowfall totals across the region ranged from 3 to 5 inches across St. Lawrence county to 5 to 9 inches across the rest of northern NY. Impacts were generally travel related due to the timing of the heavuest snowfall during the evneing commute.
